Сreative work of Cosroe Dusi: style issues (1808–1859)

The creative heritage of the Venetian Cosroe Dusi accumulated all leading artistic styles second quarter –middle 19th century. Working in Italy, Munich and St Petersburg, painter created intimate formal portraits. His historical canvases have absorbed features classicism romanticism with special interest medieval history. few landscapes are close to romantic concept spiritualized nature. In sketches from nature drawings, influence academic art education system is obvious. He also a number monumental works Isaacʼs Cathedral, his technique iconographic solutions indicate an Russian national tradition. Academic training, classicism, romanticism, historicism mixed Dusi’s complex stylistic dialogue.
